Bank loans are the most common form of borrowing that public authorities and companies rely on for funding investment projects, but the lack of expertise in determining the parameters within which loans can be attracted and the associated legal issues can lead to significant risks to which they are exposed, translated into additional costs and unfavorable contractual terms.

In the case of public authorities, the conditions for obtaining a bank loan are laid down by a strict legislative framework and involve several procedural steps to be completed for the loan to be authorized by the Ministry of Public Finance.

For certain investments, financing can be obtained from international financial institutions such as IFC-World Bank, EIB, KfW, EBRD, with advantageous interest rates and maturity periods, but with specific steps to be completed during the negotiation, contracting and reporting period.
